Cheng Shing Chow
Shing is Senior Director & General Manager at Recruit Legal and SearchAsia, both part of the Asia-focused Recruit Express Group. A former practicing lawyer, Shing is resident in our Hong Kong offices, and also spends time in our Shanghai and Beijing offices.
Shing graduated from the National University of Singapore where he earned his law degree and where he was Editor of the Singapore Law Review. He practiced law at the Singapore law firm Rajah & Tann and the global firm Jones Day before founding the Recruit Legal Group, primarily focused on legal recruiting in Singapore, Hong Kong and China.
Since 2005, he has been based in North Asia (Hong Kong and China) overseeing all SearchAsia and Recruit Legal offices in that region which he created and continues to play the key business lead role in all business units and operations there.
He has special expertise in searches for the legal industry (General Counsels and International Practice positions) and the human resources industry (Generalist, Recruiting, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Engagement, Organizational Growth, Psychometrics Testing), and maintains an active & keen interest in all things related to law, search consulting, industrial and organizational psychology and talent assessment.
In his spare moments away from the great learning that comes with interaction with clients and candidates, Shing engages in long distance running and thinks about people and the future of the legal profession.

Magdalene Ho
Magdalene is a Division Manager & Principal Consultant with Recruit Legal China and SearchAsia China and a qualified lawyer formerly from the Singapore law firm of Drew & Napier. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore and is resident in our Hong Kong offices, commuting to our Shanghai and Beijing business operations.
Consistently earning high accolades from Fortune 500 clients, Magdalene plays the lead role in all of Recruit Legal's Hong Kong and China placements. Having worked with the biggest names in the international private practice and in-house arena in Hong Kong and China, Magdalene has an unsurpassed track record in Asia legal recruitment.
Outside of the legal industry, Magdalene has also made successful placements within the banking & finance (risk management, sales & trading, compliance functions), human resources (general, Compensation & Benefits, recruiting functions) as well as the hospitality (hotel and property) industries.
Magdalene is manager-in-charge of the overall operations, growth and development of the Recruit Legal China and SearchAsia China teams. In her free time, she remains active in sports centered around swimming, trekking, distance running and combat arts and has a keen interest in good food, travelling and the movies.

Claire Lin
Claire is the Senior Manager and Principal Consultant at Recruit Legal Singapore. She joined the company in 2005 as a Consultant after graduating from Singapore Management University with a Bachelor in Business Management, and had since picked up a special expertise in legal, compliance and corporate secretariat placements.
Her strong experience in recruitment over the past years has enabled her to service some of the largest multi-national companies in Asia Pacific in a wide variety of placements ranging from General Counsel to Head Compliance and Company Secretary positions. Claire also has a strong track record in in-house legal team placements, across various industries ranging from FMCG to IT to Engineering and Property industry.
Claire is currently overseeing the operations and development of Recruit Legal Singapore, managing teams of consultants specializing in legal, compliance and legal support placements.
